Spring Grove/York, PA (Salaried Positions)

 

Customer Support Representative

Representing P. H. Glatfelter in a positive manner, this team player will maintain responsibility for servicing customer accounts by building customer loyalty; communication and facilitating service; and developing new and improved service processes. Qualifications include and Associate’s Degree or equivalent experience, excellent communication/organizational/problem resolution skills, and strong mathematical skills. Familiarity with database software, spreadsheets, and word processing are required.

 

Production Trainees

We anticipate openings for Production Trainees at our Spring Grove mill. We operate our mill 24 hours/day, 7 days/week. Individuals interested in entry-level positions must be willing to work a 7-day, swing-shift schedule. Our entry level positions require a high school diploma or GED, two years manufacturing experience, and the ability to lift 50 to 100 lbs., with no restrictions on walking, climbing, or moving about.

 

Environmental Services Engineer

This position has mill-wide responsibility for developing methods and reviewing new technologies for reducing air and water emissions, and for identifying the best way to recycle and dispose of solid wastes generated by our processes.  The position involves monitoring all operations to make sure the Company remains in compliance with all state and federal environmental regulations, and providing analytical services to other departments and carrying out environmental-related studies. 

Candidates for this position must have a Paper Science & Engineering, Chemical Engineering or equivalent degree with a minimum of 5 years experience with CEMS (continuous emissions monitoring systems) and air regulations compliance.  The successful candidate must also have good communication skills, the ability to multi-task and interface with a wide variety of professionals both inside and outside the Company, and familiarity with MS Word and Excel.
