The P. H. Glatfelter Company's ongoing mission is to continue operating a highly profitable business known for its quality products, excellent customer service, productive workforce and commitment to the environment. We plan to maintain a well-balanced mix of products while seeking additional growth in the specialty paper markets. To do this, we will increase our research and development of new specialty uses for our papers and place high priority on customer service and product value. Additionally, we will continue to explore acquisitions of other pulp and paper operations as a way to generate additional profits. One of the reasons why we've become a successful company is our conservative style of fiscal management. With the exception of acquisitions and major mill modernization, we have financed most capital projects with internally-generated funds. Each major project we undertake is the result of long-range planning that addresses how to best use company assets and maintain our competitive edge.
