P. H. Glatfelter Company Elects Kathleen Dahlberg To Board of Directors

 York, PA, September 20, 2001- P. H. Glatfelter Company (NYSE: GLT) today announced the election of Kathleen Dahlberg to the Company’s Board of Directors.

Ms. Dahlberg is the founder of Open Vision Partners, a consortium of business and technical professionals bringing new technologies and businesses to market, and continues to work with businesses on the application of new technologies for business improvement and process change.

Ms. Dahlberg was Vice President – e-business at BP Amoco from 1997 to 2001, where she had accountability for e-business development for the world’s third-largest energy company. She previously was Chief Information Officer and Vice President Downstream at BP Amoco. She was Vice President of Advanced Technologies at Viacom International from 1995 to 1996. Ms. Dahlberg was at Burger King Corporation, a subsidiary of Grand Metropolitan plc, from 1987 to 1995, where she held a series of senior executive positions, including Vice President of Business Transformation, Vice President of Strategic Planning and Reporting and Vice President of Worldwide Retail Systems.

Ms. Dahlberg received a Bachelor of Science degree in communications from Oklahoma State University and a master’s degree in management from Aurora University.
