Mr. MacKenzie joins the Company from Hercules, Inc., of Wilmington, DE, where he was Vice Chairman of the Board and Chief Financial Officer. Mr. MacKenzie has held a number of senior management and financial positions during his 22 years with Hercules, a diversified global manufacturer and marketer of specialty chemicals and related services. Prior to his most recent post, Mr. MacKenzie served as Executive Vice President and President of Hercules’ Chemical Specialties Segment. Prior to that, he served as Chief Financial Officer. Earlier assignments included that of Vice President, Finance, Vice President and Treasurer, and Vice President and Corporate Controller of the Company. Mr. MacKenzie joined Hercules in 1979 and was earlier with the public accounting firm Coopers & Lybrand in Philadelphia.

Mr. MacKenzie, of Chadds Ford, PA, holds a bachelor of science degree from the University of Delaware and a masters degree in business administration from the University of Chicago. He is a certified public accountant.

He is a member of the Board of Directors of C&D Technologies, Inc., and chair of its audit committee. Mr. MacKenzie also serves on the Board of Directors of Central Vermont Public Service Corp. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Pennsylvania Institute of Certified Public Accountants, and the Financial Executives Institute. In addition, he is a member of the American Management Association and the Institute of Management Accountants.
